5 reasons you might like Psycho Killer (2026)
I’m Jason Kleeberg and this is Force Five, and today I’m going to give you five reasons you might want to watch Psycho Killer..
Reason number 5, it’s interesting to watch a film like this and think about what could have been considering it has been announced and forgotten many times since the script first surfaced online back in 2007. There was a lot of excitement for a horror script from Andrew Kevin Walker, the writer of Se7en, and back in 2009, Limp Bizkit front man Fred Durst was set to direct with Eli Roth producing.
Reason number 4, Psycho Killer has a banger opening scene that really gets you invested in Jane’s journey to find the slasher. See, Jane and her significant other Mike are Kansas cops, and the film starts with Mike pulling Psycho Killer over and being killed, sending Jane on a quest for revenge. It’s a great start to the movie and Georgina Campbell, who plays Jane, does a great job with the role.
Reason number 3, the roadside repair kill is really great. If you were a nerd like me and read the script a long, long time ago, you wanted to see this scene come to life because in the original screenplay, it was the first scene in the film. It’s a bombastic scene that kills someone in a very unconventional way and I always appreciate that in a horror film.
Reason number 2, if you like films with giant, unstoppable masked monsters, you might have a good time with this one. Psycho Killer, or PK, as he’s often referred to in the script, has a cool look to him. You never see his face, as its either shrouded in shadows beneath a hood or is behind a cool steampunk mask that reminded me of the game Dishonored.
Reason number 1, there’s an orgy massacre that is by far the best scene in the movie, and I guess if you want to see what I’m talking about, you’ll have to watch the movie because nudity isn’t allowed on YouTube. Seriously though, it’s a great scene with some bloody axe kills, certainly the best sequence in the film.
If any of those reasons sound like fun, Psycho Killer might be worth checking out. If you want to see how I rated it, my Letterboxd is down below. If you’ve seen Psycho Killer, let me know what you thought of it in the comments below or email me at forcefivepodcast@gmail.com.
